GP Strategic Advisory:
The GP Strategic Advisory team advises alternative asset managers – across private equity, private debt, infrastructure, real estate and venture capital – and their shareholders on minority GP stakes, majority sales, mergers and strategic topics at the management company level
As an Intern Analyst, you will own workstreams across live mandates, with early, direct client exposure and contributions across origination, execution, and market intelligence
Role:
- Preparing and owning marketing and transaction materials (Pitchbooks, Teasers, CIMs, Management Presentations, Transaction Overviews)
- Building financial models and valuations for asset managers (DCF, precedent transaction and listed-comparable analysis)
- Building and maintaining the team's market knowledge base – proprietary transaction database, buyer / investor mapping, valuation benchmarks and manager screening
- Managing buyer/seller Q&A, NDA processes, Virtual Data Room and due diligence (information request lists, data gathering and project management)
- Participating in client calls, management meetings and update calls with prospective buyers and investors
- Screening the buyer / investor universe against strategic and financial criteria, and driving outreach preparation
- Preparing transaction status reports, bid analyses and post-transaction analyses
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Economics, Business or a related field
- Strong financial modelling and writing skills, with a high standard of accuracy
- Genuine interest in the alternative asset management space, its recent development and future trajectory
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent communication and soft skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams under time pressure
- Previous experience in asset management M&A, investment banking or private markets investing (at least 6 months to 1 year)
- Fluency in French and English (initial interviews to be conducted in English)
