Your Role
As an Investment Analyst at Carbyne, you will join our investment team from day one and work at the centre of our transaction activity. You will support the execution of our investments end to end, from initial screening through due diligence to closing, and build the analytical foundation on which our investment decisions are made.
In this role, you will:
- Support the execution of live transactions end to end, from initial target analysis and screening through due diligence to signing and closing.
- Build and maintain financial models, including operating models, valuation analyses and LBO structures, working closely with senior members of the team.
- Support commercial and financial due diligence workstreams and coordinate with external advisors on information requests, findings and follow-ups.
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify attractive sub-sectors and screen potential targets.
- Prepare investment committee materials and other transaction documentation.
- Support portfolio company monitoring, reporting and value creation initiatives alongside management teams.
- Support our add-on acquisition activity, from target identification to execution.
- Start building a network of industry experts, advisors and intermediaries.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a high-achieving, driven individual at the start of their career who is eager to learn and grow with us.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An excellent academic track record in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
- Up to two years of professional experience, or relevant internships, ideally in investment banking, strategy consulting, transaction services and/or private equity.
- Strong quantitative skills and a solid command of financial modeling in Excel.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
- Fluency in English; German or other European languages are a plus.
- A reliable, results-driven team player who takes ownership of their work and upholds the highest professional standards.
- Entrepreneurial driven mindset.
- Exposure to one of our focus sectors is a plus.
