Investment Analyst - Private Markets

Location: London, United Kingdom Company: ADMIO Capital Start Date: Early 2027 Sector: Private Markets / Investment Management

About ADMIO

Founded in 2021, ADMIO Group is an independent, technology-enabled investment office serving professional investors, including families, entrepreneurs and corporations. ADMIO Group is made of two separated entities. A non regulated London based entity, ADMIO Capital, and a French regulated Paris based entity ADMIO Asset Management.

We combine a long-term approach to wealth preservation with an entrepreneurial investment mindset, delivering bespoke, transparent investment solutions and expertise across public and private markets.

The Group activities encompass discretionary and non-discretionary portfolio management, investment advisory, portfolio supervision and consultancy, with a strong focus on constructing tailored asset allocations, investment management and investment sourcing.

Technology is central to our approach. Through proprietary tools such as Finorama®, we integrate investment analysis, portfolio reporting and risk monitoring to support informed decision-making.

Operating from London and Paris, our team brings together professionals with experience at leading financial institutions, combining institutional investment discipline with the flexibility and responsiveness of an independent investment office.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, analytical and self-driven Investment Analyst to join our London team and strengthen our Private Markets Advisory & Direct Investment capabilities.

This position offers a distinctive opportunity for a young investment professional to gain broad, hands-on exposure across private equity, venture capital, direct investments, co-investments and fund investments, alongside selected public market and portfolio management activities.

Unlike more narrowly defined investment roles, this position provides exposure to the entire investment lifecycle: from identifying and screening opportunities to financial analysis, due diligence, investment committee preparation, execution and ongoing portfolio monitoring.

Working directly with senior investment professionals in a small, agile and highly collaborative team, the successful candidate will progressively assume responsibility for individual investment workstreams and contribute meaningfully to investment decisions.

We are particularly interested in candidates who combine strong financial and analytical skills with intellectual curiosity, commercial judgement and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Key Responsibilities

1. Private Markets Advisory & Direct Investments

  • Conduct detailed financial, commercial and strategic due diligence on investment opportunities across private equity, venture capital, direct investments and co-investments.
  • Analyse companies, business models, competitive positioning, industry dynamics, market trends and investment risks.
  • Develop financial models, valuation analyses and investment return scenarios to assess potential opportunities.
  • Evaluate investment theses, growth opportunities, potential return drivers and downside risks.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, presentations and supporting analyses for investment committee discussions.
  • Participate in the investment process, from initial screening and due diligence through execution and subsequent monitoring.
  • Work closely with senior investment professionals and progressively take ownership of investment workstreams.

2. Fund Investments & Investment Strategy

  • Evaluate private equity, venture capital and other private market fund opportunities.
  • Analyse fund strategies, portfolio construction, manager track records, investment performance, attribution and risk characteristics.
  • Assess fund economics, fee structures, carried interest arrangements and key commercial terms.
  • Support manager selection, investment recommendations and portfolio allocation decisions.
  • Conduct sector, market and thematic research to identify investment opportunities and inform investment strategies.
  • Maintain and monitor the investment pipeline, ensuring disciplined opportunity screening, tracking and follow-up.

3. Portfolio Management & Multi-Asset Exposure

  • Contribute to portfolio construction and investment allocation analysis across public and private markets.
  • Support selected public market activities, including analysis relating to structured products, ETFs and liquidity management.
  • Undertake macroeconomic and financial market research to support investment decisions.
  • Monitor existing investments, assess performance and identify relevant investment or portfolio risks.
  • Prepare portfolio reviews, investment updates and presentations for internal committees and clients.

4. Investment Data, Reporting & Technology

  • Maintain accurate investment and portfolio data, including fund commitments, capital calls, distributions, valuations and performance indicators.
  • Contribute to investment reporting, quarterly portfolio reviews and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
  • Support the development and improvement of investment analysis, reporting and risk-monitoring processes.
  • Work with ADMIO's proprietary investment technology, including Finorama®, to enhance data quality, operational efficiency and analytical capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data analysis, automation and AI-enabled tools to improve investment workflows.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a highly analytical, intellectually curious and adaptable individual with a genuine interest in investing and the ambition to develop into a well-rounded investment professional.

Education & Professional Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with a 2:1 classification or above, or an equivalent qualification, from a recognised university.
  • Academic background in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline is preferred.
  • Previous internship or analyst-level experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, asset management, transaction services or consulting is desirable.
  • Candidates with strong analytical capabilities and relevant academic or practical experience are also encouraged to apply.

Financial & Technical Skills

  • Sound understanding of corporate finance, financial statements, valuation methodologies and capital structures.
  • Familiarity with investment return metrics and methodologies, including IRR, MOIC and investment return analysis.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Financial modelling proficiency is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and an ability to work confidently with financial and investment data.
  • Exposure to Python, VBA, data analysis, AI tools, data management or investment reporting would be an advantage.

Personal Attributes

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: A proactive individual who is comfortable taking initiative, exploring new opportunities and contributing ideas.
  • Critical curiosity: A genuine interest in understanding businesses, industries, markets and investment strategies.
  • Analytical rigour: Strong attention to detail, structured thinking and the ability to challenge assumptions.
  • Ownership and autonomy: Willingness to take responsibility for workstreams and deliver high-quality work with limited supervision.
  • Commercial judgement: Ability to look beyond financial models to understand the fundamental drivers of investment opportunities.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable operating across different asset classes, investment strategies and responsibilities within a dynamic environment.
  • Communication: Ability to synthesize complex information and present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.

Languages

Fluency in both English and French is required. Proficiency in additional languages would be an advantage.

Why Join ADMIO?

At ADMIO, we believe that developing strong investment professionals requires more than technical expertise. It requires direct exposure to investment decisions, an understanding of the full investment process and the opportunity to take meaningful responsibility.

Joining our team offers:

  • Broad investment exposure: Work across private equity, venture capital, fund investments, co-investments, direct investments and selected public market activities.
  • End-to-end involvement: Participate in investments throughout their lifecycle, from initial assessment to execution and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
  • Direct access to senior professionals: Work alongside experienced investors and gain insight into investment analysis, portfolio construction and decision-making.
  • Meaningful responsibility: Progressively assume ownership of analytical work and investment workstreams, rather than being confined to narrowly defined tasks.
  • An entrepreneurial environment: Join a small, collaborative and agile team where initiative, independent thinking and intellectual curiosity are valued.
  • Technology-driven investment management: Work with modern analytical tools and contribute to the integration of data, automation and technology into investment processes.
  • Professional development: Build strong investment judgement, technical expertise and a broad understanding of private markets and multi-asset portfolio management.

This role is particularly well suited to an ambitious investment professional looking for responsibility, variety and direct involvement in investment decisions within an independent investment office.
