The FI Banks Origination team is driving growth in Cash Clearing Services and Trade Finance — two important pillars for CACIB’s medium term plan. This rapidly expanding business line delivers cutting-edge solutions to a diverse portfolio of financial institutions across Asia-Pacific.
The ideal candidate should complete their graduation requirements and is available to start the position from January 2027.
Trainee program is one year to begin with and possible for extension up to 2 years in total, subject to performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
As a Trainee, you will work alongside our experienced sales team managing relationships with APAC financial institutions. This is a client-facing hands-on role where you'll gain real exposure to business origination, relationship management, process management, and strategic business development:
- Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings, prepare detailed follow-up reports, and coordinate international business travel
- Account Development: Support new cash account openings and track client investigations to accelerate growth
- Transaction Management: Participate in negotiation and front-to-end process for Trade Finance transactions
- Performance Analytics: Monitor activity volumes and profitability metrics by client to drive informed business decisions
- Market Intelligence: Develop and produce commercial reports that inform strategy and identify opportunities
- Data Management: Leverage on relevant tools to accurately reflect sales pipeline and transaction bookings
- Business Development: Contribute to preparation of marketing material and participate in internal projects as required
In accordance with the Mandatory Reference Checking (MRC) Scheme implemented by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), a successful candidate for an In-Scope Position who has held a position with an In-Scope Institution in the past 7 years will be subject to a mandatory reference check.
