Madison Hunt is partnered with a leading pan-European data centre platform, backed by a major alternative asset manager, seeking to appoint an Investment Analyst to its London-based investment team.
With a long-standing track record in the European data centre market, the business designs, builds and operates large-scale data centre campuses serving hyperscale, cloud and enterprise customers.
It is continuing to expand its footprint across key European markets through campus extensions, new site development and selective acquisitions.
The platform is entering a period of significant growth, offering the opportunity to join a lean, high-performing team with genuine responsibility, close exposure to senior decision-makers and broad involvement across development, financing and operational workstreams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining detailed financial models for data centre developments and operational assets
- Supporting the evaluation of a large live pipeline of opportunities at varying stages of maturity
- Assisting on acquisitions, development and asset-level financings, and disposals
- Preparing internal investment materials and supporting strategic analysis of markets, customers and products
- Working alongside development and operational teams on value creation across the portfolio
- Supporting senior team members across multiple concurrent transaction workstreams
Candidates should possess:
- Approximately 12–24 months of experience within investment banking, private equity, infrastructure or real estate investing
- Exposure to data centres, digital infrastructure, real estate or energy (including behind-the-meter generation) is strongly preferred
- Excellent financial modelling skills, with the ability to build project-level models from scratch
- A strong understanding of data centre value drivers, or the ability to develop this quickly from an adjacent sector
- Strong commercial judgement, a developer mindset and the ability to work at pace in a lean team
- European language skills, particularly German, French, Italian or Nordic languages, are advantageous but not essential
