Caledonia Investments 2027 Summer Internship - Caledonia Investments - Summer Internship 2027
Internship Overview
This year our Sea Lions Programme will run between Monday 21st June 2027 to Friday 16th July 2027 and its purpose is to provide four weeks of structured inclusive learning to individuals who wish to explore the potential to develop a career in financial services. The programme will introduce students to Caledonia and equip them with skills and knowledge for future employment opportunities.
Unlike traditional internship programmes, ours is designed as a ‘mini business school’ using financial and staff resources for which Caledonia asks for nothing in return, other than enthusiastic engagement and with the aim of creating new friends for the future.
As part of our four week programme you can expect:
- An introduction to Caledonia and each of its core investment pools (public markets, private markets and fund investing).
- Extensive personal development and team skills learning.
- Tour of the City of London and visits to investee companies.
- A team project culminating in a presentation to a “dragons’ den” style panel at the end of the four weeks.
- Provision of a Caledonia mentor to provide help and advice through the course and potentially beyond.
You will be invited to meet with your mentor in advance of the programme and to pre-programme drinks where you will have the opportunity to meet other Caledonia staff and interns from previous years.
You will be paid to attend the course with the rate set at £127.50 per day. Travel expenses to the assessment centre will also be paid on request.
Whilst permanent positions are unavailable at the end of the programme, demand for the course remains very high so it is greatly appreciated that those invited to attend and accept, do attend to avoid the waste of a valuable place.

Candidate Testimonials:
"My internship at Caledonia Investments was unique, filled with experiences that I will cherish. It provided me with a steep learning curve towards my conquest to improve my financial literacy, intensifying my passion for the investments space. Simultaneously, I learnt to appreciate the importance of collaborating with a group to achieve a common goal. Since the very beginning, I was exposed to the principles and mechanisms of global markets, and private equity.
I learnt how to critically assess companies internally and externally, carefully identifying their competitive advantage. This stemmed from client meetings, team presentations and numerous finance workshops. Moreover, the various personal development sessions, team engagements in and out of office ranging from city exploring, icebreaker sports activities and team lunches allowed me to connect with interns and employees. The Cayzer family and every single member of Caledonia welcomed and treated us as if we were a family, instilling an inspiring atmosphere. This internship has been very different than any other I had the chance of joining, and I am grateful for this fruitful opportunity."
